HS TEN: Seahawks show off depth in tough win over Trojans

The back end of the lineup carried Hilton Head High boys tennis to a 4-3 win over visiting James Island in a pivotal Region 7-4A match Thursday. 

The Trojans were victorious in the top two singles matches and at No. 1 doubles, but the Seahawks’ depth won the day. Alex Ruckno, Grant Pagatpatan, and Moses Grant each won their singles matches, and the doubles team of Shane Mason and Stefan Russell delivered the clincher. 

The Seahawks (6-2, 6-1) host May River for another region contest Monday.
