Hilton Head Christian Academy boys soccer overcame a sluggish first half to battle to a 1-1 tie with undefeated St. Andrews at home Thursday.
After giving up an early goal, the Eagles’ defense settled in with goalie Riley Shinn and center back Logan Harsta leading the way.
The Eagles dominated possession in the second half, resulting in numerous quality chances to even the score, but none found the back of the net.
With just under two minutes left in regulation, HHCA’s Cam Strickland gathered the ball just inside the Lions’ half and beat three defenders to create a breakaway before he slotted the ball past the goalie for the equalizer.
HHCA (1-2-2) is back in action at Beaufort Academy on Tuesday.
