HS BSB: Hooker K’s 13 as War Hawks shut down Rebels

Kyle Hooker was marvelous on the mound with 13 strikeouts, and Colleton Prep baseball beat Thomas Heyward 5-2 on the road Thursday.

The War Hawks started the game strong, plating three first-inning runs off a Cole Gulotti double and an RBI groundout.

Thomas Heyward chipped away at the lead, scoring once in the second and again in the third on singles from Dietrich Shuford and Ayden Lassiter to make it a 3-2 game, but Colleton Prep restored the three-run advantage with a tally in the fourth and fifth frames.
