Despite a hat-trick from Zeke Chappelear, Hilton Head High boys soccer took down May River 5-3 at the Tank for the Seahawks’ first-ever victory against the Sharks.
The visitors moved the ball beautifully early on, jumping out to a commanding 3-0 lead before Chappelear scored his first goal right before halftime. Hilton Head continued its strong form in the second half, and the Sharks couldn’t overcome the large deficit despite two more goals from Zeke.

The junior pocketed all three from the penalty mark to notch the hat-trick. Renzo Andreucetti led the victorious Seahawks with two goals, and Nate Bowen, Alan Leyva, and Nick Larson each scored one.
Winners of three straight region matches, Hilton Head (6-1, 3-0) looks to keep it rolling against James Island at home on April 6.
May River (4-2, 1-2) will try for a bounce-back performance Friday on the road at Lucy Beckham.
