Beaufort High baseball put up five runs in the fourth to break open a tied game, then tacked on five in the sixth to finish off a 13-3 home win over Region 7-4A rival May River on Monday.
May River ace Darin Horn struck out 10 before the Eagles chased him with one out in the fourth after Ollie Holmes broke a 3-3 tie with an RBI single and Rhogue Wallace followed with a two-run triple. Wallace scored on a wild pitch, and Colin Peterson delivered a two-out RBI single to make it 8-3.

Peterson came through again with a sacrifice fly in the seventh, and Matt Bornsheuer, Rush Riley, Holmes, and Wallace each added RBIs in the inning to invoke the 10-run rule.
Holmes went the distance on the mound for the Eagles, allowing three runs and seven hits with eight strikeouts and two walks, and he was 2-for-3 with three RBIs at the plate.
Riley was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, Wallace was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs, and Peterson was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs for Beaufort.
James Layman was 2-for-3 with a double, and Horn was 1-for-2 with two RBIs for the Sharks.
Beaufort (4-4, 2-1) travels to May River (4-6, 2-3) for the series finale Wednesday.
