May River boys soccer claimed the first leg of the Bluffton Derby with a 3-1 road win over crosstown rival Bluffton on Tuesday.
Colton Beine scored his sixth goal of the season off a Jacob Madeiros assist to put May River up 1-0 in the 14th minute, but the Bobcats were able to settle in and hold the margin there until a penalty shot from Edinson Alvarez tied it up right before halftime.
Nico Mieres scored on a 45-yard free kick in the second half to give May River the lead, and Zeke Chappelear scored the final goal of the night in the 75th minute to secure the win for the Sharks.

Keeper Brayden Garcia needed only one save to earn the win as May River’s defense held Bluffton without a shot on goal in the second half.
The Sharks (4-1, 1-1) host Hilton Head High for a key region matchup Tuesday.
The Bobcats (3-2, 1-2) are off until April 2, when they host region co-leader James Island.
