HS BSB: War Hawks put it all together vs. HHCA

Colleton Prep baseball used three straight big innings to pull away for an 18-0 win over visiting Hilton Head Christian Academy in five innings Tuesday.

It was a 2-0 game through two innings before the War Hawks plated four in the third, seven in the fourth, and five in the fifth to end it early.

Colton Daniels went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple, two RBIs, and four runs, and Kyle Hooker was 3-for-3 with a double and five RBIs to lead the offensive outburst for the War Hawks. Caden Crosby knocked in two runs and scored three times, Hayden Williams was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Huiet Rowe drew four of the War Hawks’ nine walks and scored twice.

Cole Gulotti threw a gem for CPA, allowing one hit and two walks over five innings with six strikeouts. 

Michael Zoodsma had the lone hit for the Eagles, who were hurt by four errors and 12 free passes — nine walks and three hit-by-pitches.

CPA (3-2) is back in action Wednesday against Pinewood Prep.

HHCA (0-5) plays John Paul II at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Richard Gray Stadium in Hardeeville.
