HS GSOC: Panthers too much for HHCA team in transition

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls soccer team opened the season with a 10-0 loss at Pinewood Prep on Friday, but the Eagles aren’t quite the team they’ll be by midseason.

With several members of the state championship basketball team only joining the team this week, the Eagles are still finding their soccer legs as they transition between seasons.

The perennial SCISA 3A title contender Panthers pounced early and shut down a rusty HHCA side.

HHCA (0-1) will get a few days off before opening region play at John Paul II at 4 p.m. Thursday.
