Warren was limited to seven points in a 38-34 loss to May River on Wednesday, but she had matched that total by the end of the first quarter Friday. The Cougars kept pace early, trailing by one after the first quarter, but Warren poured in nine more in the second as Beaufort ran out to a 29-20 halftime lead.
Colleton County stayed in it thanks to a trio of talented underclassmen, as sophomore Makayla Chisolm scored 13 points, and freshmen Shandi Brown and Heaven Green added 12 and 11. Jayla Daise added six points, and Ki’Ayisa Moultrie had five for Beaufort.
The Eagles (7-5) travel to May River for a semifinal matchup at 7:30 p.m. Monday with the winner advancing to the championship game Thursday.
