Hilton Head Christian Academy’s boys picked up their first region win of the season with a 49-44 triumph at Thomas Heyward Academy on Saturday.
The Eagles ran out to a 30-12 halftime lead, then held off a second-half surge from the Rebels to secure the victory.
JP Peduzzi scored 14 points and Andrew Helms added 10, including 7-of-9 from the foul line in the fourth quarter, to help HHCA prevail. Jace Blackshear added eight for the Eagles.
HHCA (4-8, 1-4) travels to Colleton Prep on Tuesday.
THA (0-6, 0-2) hosts Bethesda Academy on Monday.
