HSFB: Eagles 7th, Warriors 6th in latest SC Prep Poll

Beaufort High climbed one spot to No. 7 in Class 4A, and undefeated Whale Branch slipped one spot to No. 6 in Class 1A in the latest South Carolina Prep Media Football Poll released Tuesday.

The Eagles moved up one spot after improving to 4-0 with a 55-0 rout of Colleton County on Friday, but they will get a big test this week when they travel to Class 5A No. 10 Carolina Forest for a non-region matchup.

The Warriors surprisingly slipped in the rankings despite blowing out Charleston Math & Science 69-0 to improve to 5-0. Whale Branch hosts crosstown rival Battery Creek for a non-region game Friday.

May River (3-1) and Hilton Head (2-0) both received votes for the Class 4A poll.
