Hilton Head Prep couldn’t keep up in the second half Friday afternoon, falling 38-23 to region rival Orangeburg Prep.
Tommy Stauffer had a big night for the Dolphins, rushing for 144 yards and a touchdown on just six carries and returning a kickoff for a touchdown, but the Indians led 25-15 at halftime and outscored the Dolphins 13-0 in the third quarter to put it away.
Harrison Green was 9-of-18 for 110 yards, and Carson King caught three passes for 49 yards and added a rushing touchdown for HHP.
King and Stauffer also made seven tackles apiece, matching Ezron Daley and Will Gray for the team lead.
The Dolphins (1-4-1, 0-2) travel to Northwood Academy next Friday needing a win to preserve their playoff hopes.
