HSTEN: Eagles in control when rain shortens match (+PHOTOS)

An afternoon thunderstorm Thursday meant Hilton Head Christian Academy girls tennis will have to try to finish off a victory over Colleton Prep when the War Hawks make the return trip to Hilton Head Island.

The Eagles already had four wins secured before the rain came, as Caitlyn Jackson, Shields McClure, Katherine Drozd, and Sophia Blackwell all won in straight sets, but the War Hawks had claimed the first set on the other two singles courts.

The match will resume when HHCA hosts Colleton Prep on Oct. 1. The Eagles will need to win one of the two singles matches in progress to avoid having to play the doubles matches.

HHCA (1-0) hosts John Paul II at 4 p.m. Friday.
