Two big innings were too much to overcome for the Beaufort High softball team in an 18-4 loss to visiting Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Friday.
The Red Raiders trailed the Eagles 4-1 before plating seven runs in the top of the fourth, then tacked on eight in the sixth to put it out of reach.
Madison Sanchez was 1-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs, and Carleigh Coolong was 1-for-2 with a homer for the Eagles, who managed only three hits.
Kylie Rast took the loss in the circle, allowing 18 runs (only seven earned) as she was damaged by six Eagle errors.
