Thomas Heyward’s softball team has bashed its way through Beaufort this week, blanking Beaufort Academy 20-0 on Tuesday and beating Beaufort High 17-1 on Wednesday to sweep a home-and-home series with the Eagles.
Emily Hansen tossed a one-hitter for the Rebels against BA, striking out three. Amelia Bonds was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead THA at the plate, while Olivia Pace was 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Isabel Cannon was 1-for-2.
Riley Gates had the lone hit for BA.
The Rebels kept rolling with a dominant win over Beaufort High just two days after winning a 14-13 slugfest against the Eagles.
Cannon earned the win in the circle, striking out four, and went 3-for-4 at the plate. Keleigh Bowers and Gracie Wade each went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Abby Bennett was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Tamara Davis was 2-for-2 and Kyrsten Cruikshank was 1-for-2 with an RBI for Beaufort.

The Rebels (3-2) plays in the SCISA Preseason Tournament in Sumter on Saturday, facing Pee Dee Academy in their first game at 10:15 a.m.
Beaufort (0-2) hosts Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6 p.m. Friday.
