May River boys tennis opened the season with a 5-1 win over visiting Bluffton on Tuesday.
The Sharks swept the singles courts, winning all five matches in straight sets. The most competitive singles matchup came at No. 4, where Jonathan White rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the first set for a 7-5, 6-1 victory.
The Bobcats earned their only point at No. 2 doubles, where Todd Putton and Jack Roberts came back after losing the first set to claim a hard-fought victory.
