BSOC: Bobcats survive strong test from Wayne County

Bluffton’s boys earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over visiting Wayne County on Tuesday in their season opener. 

Uriel Zarracan scored a pair of goals, and Brayan Murillo had a goal and two assists to lead the Bobcats, while Davidson Alvarez handed out two assists, and Ricardo Velazquez scored a goal. 

The Bobcats peppered 36 shots, including 16 on goal, but the Yellowjackets’ keeper was able to make 12 saves to keep it close. 

Alejo Hornos and Christian Ortiz split time in goal for Bluffton and made two saves each.

Bluffton (1-0) hosts John Paul II at 7 p.m. Friday.
