HSBSB: Creek blanks HHCA in opener

Battery Creek baseball opened the season with a 15-0 win over Hilton Head Christian Academy on Saturday in the Hilton Head High tournament. 

Austin Stephens, was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs to lead the Dolphins at the plate, while Luke Sanders had a triple and three RBIs, Kyle Kirkland was 2-for-3 with two runs, and Josh Scott went 2-for-2 with a double, four RBIs, and two runs. 

Sanders struck out five and walked two in a three-inning one-hitter. 

Keene Reese had the only hit for the Eagles.

Battery Creek (1-0) plays Thomas Heyward at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hilton Head High.

HHCA (0-1) plays at Hilton Head High at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
