Hilton Head Prep baseball continued its sloppy play to start the season, making three critical errors that led to three unearned runs in an 8-3 loss to visiting Peachtree Academy.
“Another game of poor defense, same result,” HHP coach Chris Wells said. “It really boils down to throwing and catching, and so far we aren’t doing that well.”
Tommy Stauffer and Luke Foley each had two hits, and Stauffer, Jaiden Hrobar, and Reese Malon each drove in a run for the Dolphins.
Foley was tagged with the loss, allowing two runs (one earned) over two innings with two hits and four walks.
