HSGBB: Eagles ease into SCISA 2A semifinals

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls took another step toward defending their state title with a 75-23 rout of Spartanburg Day in the SCISA 2A semifinals Tuesday at Heathwood Hall. 

The Eagles scored the game’s first 14 points and led 45-8 at halftime before coasting to their 16th consecutive win. HHCA connected on nine 3-pointers, including six in the first half. 

Dior Shelton led the Eagles with 25 points, Jasmine Campbell added 15, and Brielle McCarthy had 12. 

HHCA (28-2) faces Oakbrook Prep in the semifinals at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sumter Civic Center.
