HSBBB: Short-handed JPII can’t keep pace in playoff opener

A short handed John Paul II boys team fell to Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach 66-26 on Friday in the first round of the SCISA 2A state tournament.

Down four starters due to injury, JPII fell behind 33-14 at halftime and couldn’t recover. 

Eight-grader Christian Tilton led the Golden Warriors with six points and four rebounds.

JPII finishes with a 12-11 overall record.
