Ridgeland-Hardeeville’s boys officially began their march toward a third consecutive trip to the state championship game with an 88-44 rout of visiting Swansea on Tuesday in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs.
Sha’Leaf Cherry had a monster game with 20 points, nine rebounds, and three steals, and he took two charges. Brandon Howard added 16 points, six assists, five rebounds, and four steals, and Rashard Baker had 16 points, five assists, and three steals for the Jaguars.

The Jags showed off their depth in the blowout win, as Mauriq Singleton added 10 points, and Marshall Frazier had eight.
The Jaguars (19-7) will host Manning in the second round at 7 p.m. Friday.
