HSGBB: JPII heats up, pulls away from THA (+ đź“· GALLERY)

John Paul II’s girls cranked it up at both ends of the floor after a slow start, claiming a 58-21 region win at Thomas Heyward on Friday. 

After scoring only eight points in the first quarter, the Golden Warriors found plenty of offensive success the rest of the way, and they held the Rebles to six points in the second half.

Tkai DeVore collected 18 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, eight steals, and six deflections to lead the way for JPII, while Jasmine Hamilton also posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Taylor Michael added 16 points and five steals.

Abigail Hayes scored seven points and Daisy Taylor added six for the Rebels.

JPII (16-2, 4-1) plays a region game at Colleton Prep at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. 

THA plays at Dorchester Academy at 6 p.m. Monday.
