HSBBB: Sharks’ late surge comes up short

May River’s boys couldn’t maintain their momentum in region play Friday, falling 60-50 at Wade Hampton.

The Sharks had a hard time finding a rhythm at the offensive end until the fourth quarter, cutting a 17-point deficit to single digits before coming up short.

Harry Cash scored 16 points, and Jason Epke-Bueso added seven to lead the Sharks. May River had no answer for Brandon Brantley, who poured in 28 points to lead the Red Devils.
