With a cheering section of his neighbors sitting behind the Bluffton boys’ bench, Eric Eastham became a Bluffton Park legend on Friday.
Eastham poured in 20 points — including six 3-pointers — to fuel the Bobcats to a 63-56 home victory over Beaufort High, giving Bluffton its first region win.
“I got that first 3-pointer to fall and just caught fire from there, and I just did what I had to do to get the dub,” said Eastham, who posed for photos with neighbor kids after his big game.

Lee Kirkland added 17 points and Tyler Rice had 16 for the Bobcats, who nearly let a double-digit lead slip away in the fourth quarter.
Zyrin Odom scored 16 points to lead the Eagles, and Oliver Holmes added 12, including seven in the fourth quarter to help Beaufort pull within four before the Bobcats iced it at the foul line.
“We’re playing as a team,” Eastham said. “They started crawling back in the fourth quarter, but we kept our composure and did what we had to do.”
