HSBBB: Eagles use second-half surge to beat Generals

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s boys used a big second half to overcome a slow start and rally for a 58-43 home win over Cathedral Academy on Saturday.

JP Peduzzi poured in 23 points — 18 in the second half — and Floyd Hargrove added 11 of his 14 in the second half to lead the Eagles’ comeback.

HHCA trailed 27-17 at halftime after playing short-handed until Peduzzi finished taking the SAT. The Eagles were also without Hayden Shinn and Daniel Harrington, but Andrew Helms helped fill the void with eight points.

Peduzzi and Hargrove took over in the third quarter, as Hargrove drained three 3-pointers and Peduzzi scored seven points while the Eagles outscored Cathedral 19-7. It was all Peduzzi in the fourth, as he alone outscored the Generals 11-9.
