Bluffton’s boys used a stifling defensive effort to shut down Ridgeland-Hardeeville for a 39-28 home win Tuesday.
Eric Eastham scored 10 points, and Lee Kirkland had eight points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bobcats, who limited the Jaguars to two points in the first quarter and 11 in the first half.
The Jaguars trailed 20-11 at the break and couldn’t close the gap, as the Bobcats shut out leading scorer Mauriq Singleton. Brandon Howard scored 11 points, and Marshall Frazier added seven.
The Bobcats (2-1) host May River for a crosstown rivalry game at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The Jaguars (2-1) travel to Whale Branch at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
