HSXC: Seahawks run strong at Lake Murray

Hilton Head High’s girls finished second and the boys were sixth among 32 teams at the Mike Moore Lake Murray Invitational on Saturday at Crooked Creek Park in Chapin. 

Led by fourth-place finisher Sarah Neville, the Seahawk girls finished with a team score of 106 points, while Riverside took the team title with 73 points. Neville ran a 5K time of 18:40 to lead the way, followed by Tori Herman (20th, 19:20), Sarah Cooke (24th, 19:31), Cynthis Gudaitis (26th, 19:46), Stephanie Martin (32nd, 19:53), and Reagan Gilman (21:59). 

Logan Seifert led the HHIHS boys, finishing 10th with a time of 16:01, followed by Max Baez (33rd, 16:41), Kyle Martin (51st, 16:55), Jossue Rondin (72nd, 17:11), Will Lemire (73rd, 17:11), Eduardo Gonzales (89th, 17:22), and Jasper Reinhardt (93rd, 17:27).
