Hilton Head High’s playoff run came to an extra-innings loss to visiting Airport on Monday in the Class 4A Lower State baseball tournament.
John Allen Forrester’s two-out RBI double in the eighth gave the Eagles the lead, and the Seahawks left the tying run at first in the bottom of the frame.
After Airport took a 2-0 lead in the second, the Seahawks cut the deficit in half on Stratton Pollitzer’s RBI double in the fourth and took the lead when both Daniel Keber and Cole DeMarzo scored on a wild pitch in the fifth.
