Hilton Head High’s girls couldn’t hold onto a four-goal halftime lead Friday, falling 9-8 to visiting Richmond Hill.
The Seahawks built a 7-3 halftime lead, but the Wildcats outscored Hilton Head 6-1 after the break.
Emma Grace Walters scored three goals to lead the Seahawks, followed by Lexi Locker with two goals, and Lily Joy Tothero, Asa Caron, and Anna Ferrebee with one apiece. Goalies Marlee Brummer and Sophie Spahr combined for 10 saves.
The Seahawks (6-5, 2-1) host Beaufort High for a region game at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
