HS Lax: Seahawk Girls Pull Away From Eagles

Hilton Head High girls lacrosse overpowered Beaufort High on Monday to emerge with a 19-5 region win. 

With the score tied at 3 early in the game, the Seahawks offense exploded to outscore the Eagles 16-2 the rest of the way. Leading the scoring for the Seahawks were Emma Grace Walters with six goals and Lexi Locker with five. Lily Joy Tothero added three goals, Lily Neiderer had two, and Anna Ferrebee, Asa Caron, and Victoria Glover each contributed a goal. 

Amyah Todd scored a pair of early goals for the Eagles, while Lindsey Breaux had a goal and an assist, and Quyntessa Tyson and Katelyn Carter each added a goal. 

Seahawk goalies Marlee Brummer and Sophie Spahr combined for six saves in goal, while Beaufort goalie Nicole Marsh tallied 13 saves and five interceptions. 

The Seahawks (5-4, 1-1) look to improve their region record when they travel to Bluffton on Wednesday. The Eagles (0-9, 0-4) look ahead to their next game at May River on Wednesday.
