HS Softball: Early Lead Slips Away For Eagles

Beaufort High softball couldn’t hang onto an early lead in a 6-3 loss at Woodland on Friday.

Lillian Bearden went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for the Eagles, who led 3-0 after three innings before the Wolverines rallied for two runs each in the fourth, fifth, and sixth.

Madison Sanchez also had a hit for Beaufort. Bearden allowed six runs (two earned) and five hits in a complete game to take the loss.

Beaufort (1-6) opens a Region 7-4A series at home against Bluffton on Monday.
