Colleton Prep scored four runs with two outs in the seventh inning Thursday to send visiting Battery Creek to a 7-6 defeat.
The Dolphins led 4-1 after five innings and took a 6-3 lead to the bottom of the seventh before a two-out error opened the door for the War Hawks’ game-winning rally.
McKenzie Young was 2-for-2 with two runs, Alexis Ortiz had a hit and an RBI, and Kelsey Hill and Jamiah Johnson each drove in a run for the Dolphins.
Hill took the loss, allowing six runs — all unearned — in 1 2/3 innings in relief of Ortiz, who struck out nine and allowed one run and three hits over five frames.
The Dolphins (1-4) play in the Byrnes Invitational beginning Friday.
