HS Baseball: THA Knocks Off HHCA

Thomas Heyward picked up a big region win with an 8-3 victory over visiting Hilton Head Christian Academy on Wednesday. 

Louie Smith threw five strong innings, striking out eight and allowing one unearned run and no hits to earn the win for the Rebels. 

Johnny Brendlen, Chipper Hammond, John Hewlett, and Roman Padgett each had two hits for THA, and Peyton Bennett, Fulton Wade, and Bryce Tillotson each drove in two runs. 

Daniel Harrington had two RBIs, and Jake Richardson had a hit and an RBI for the Eagles. 

THA (2-2) travels to St. Andrew’s on Thursday. HHCA (2-2) hosts Hilton Head Prep for a region game Friday.
