Hilton Head High routed Hilton Head Christian Academy 14-0 in five innings in the championship game of the Island Invitational on Wednesday.
Jake Roberts was 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs, Jeff Hayes and Matt Mebane each had two hits and an RBI, and Stratton Pollitzer drove in three runs to lead the Seahawks.
Dean Seelbach struck out six and allowed one hit over three innings to earn the win, and John Watson and Ethan Hussong each pitched a clean inning to complete the shutout.
Jackson Lanier had the lone hit for HHCA.
Hilton Head High also defeated Battery Creek (16-0), Thomas Heyward (10-0), and St. Andrew’s (14-6) in the tournament. The Seahawks (3-0) host Battery Creek on Monday.
HHCA (2-1) travels to Thomas Heyward for a region game Tuesday.
