Hilton Head High earned a hard-fought 10-8 win at May River on Monday in a matchup of girls lacrosse rivals.
The Seahawks led 7-4 at halftime only to see the Sharks rally to tie it at 8, but Hilton Head High scored the game’s final two goals to seal the win.
Victoria Glover scored four goals to lead the HHIHS attack, while Emma Grace Walters added three goals, Aja Caron contributed two goals, and Alexis Locker added a goal. Lily Joy Tothero and Anna Ferrebee were credited with two assists apiece.
Courtney Alewine scored four goals, Yael Echeverria had two, and Sydney Santos and Mary-Miller Kaelin added one apiece for May River.
The Seahawks (2-0) host Bluffton on Wednesday. The Sharks (1-1) travel to Beaufort High on Wednesday.
