Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls held off a hot-shooting Oakbrook Prep team for a 47-40 win in the second round of the SCISA 2A state tournament Monday in Sumter.

The Eagles trailed 11-6 after the first quarter before warming up to take a 22-14 halftime lead. Oakbrook made four of its seven 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to keep it close, but Brielle McCarthy went 6-of-6 from the foul line down the stretch to finish with a game-high 22 points and help HHCA seal the win.

Jossie Frazier added nine points for the Eagles (23-3), who will face Spartanburg Christian in the semifinals at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sumter County Exhibition Center.
