Bluffton’s girls lost 56-43 to visiting South Effingham (Ga.) on Friday.
The game was tied at 27 at halftime, but the Bobcats were outscored 17-2 in the third quarter and never recovered.
Samari Mitchell scored 21 points to lead the Bobcats, who were without leading scorer Tatyana Aiken.
Mallori Jenkins scored 15 points, Naleece Newbill added 11, and Melanie Ziegler had 10 for South Effingham.
Bluffton (1-1) hosts Ridgeland-Hardeeville on Tuesday.
