HSBB: BA Boys’ Second-Half Surge Falls Short

Beaufort Academy’s boys made an impressive comeback, but their rally fell short in a 64-60 loss to First Presbyterian Christian on Wednesday in the John Paul II Tournament.

Jaylen Reeves scored 16 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles erased a 15-point halftime deficit to pull within 61-60 with 16 seconds left before the Landers closed it out.

Dawson Coleman added 21 points and Ja’Sean Lawson and Elijah Fess scored six apiece for the Eagles.

BA (0-1) takes on Colleton Prep in the consolation game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
