Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls and Holy Trinity Classical Christian School’s boys claimed SCISA Region 4-2A titles on Thursday in Sea Pines.
HHCA’s Devon Yarde won the girls 5K race in 20:40 — nearly three full minutes ahead of runner-up Elizabeth Eisinger of Hilton Head Prep (23:39) — as the Eagles finished with 41 points to narrowly edge Holy Trinity (45) for the team title.
Holy Trinity’s Logan Lawson (19:10) won the boys race by 13 seconds over Hilton Head Prep’s Beckett Jones, helping the Lions finish with 25 points, well ahead of the runner-up Dolphins (53).
The local teams will travel to Columbia on Oct. 27 for the SCISA state meet.
