Hilton Head Christian Academy volleyball scored a big win against cross-island rival Hilton Head High on Tuesday, winning 2-1 (17-25, 25-17, 15-9).
Setters Jane Bender and Lexi Qualls combined for 36 assists for the Eagles, while Sydney DeSimone led the team in kills (13), digs (10) and blocks (5) and Lauryn Qualls added seven kills, eight digs, and three aces. Ady O’Grady added four kills and two blocks, and Amy Murphy had two blocks and one kill.
HHCA (14-3) travels to John Paul II for a region match at 5 p.m. Thursday. HHIHS opens region play at home against Colleton County on Thursday.
