Hilton Head High kept its undefeated start going with a 27-6 win at Battery Creek on Friday.
Gaston Moore passed for three touchdowns, and the Seahawks’ defense shut out the Dolphins over the final three quarters.
The Dolphins struck first on a 53-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Gwyn to Kaseem Jabar, but the Seahawks kept them off the board the rest of the night.
Moore connected with Diante Richard for a big play to set up Will Frith’s touchdown run, which gave the Seahawks a 7-6 lead with five minutes left in the first quarter. Frith broke a pair of long runs to set up Moore’s touchdown pass to Cole DeMarzo for a 14-6 halftime lead.
Moore hit Elijah Thompson for a 23-yard score to make it 20-6 and capped the scoring with a 27-yard TD pass to Jeff Gordon.
Hilton Head High (3-0) hosts May River in a matchup of unbeaten teams next Friday, while Battery Creek (0-3) hosts Woodland.
