Bluffton picked up its first win of the season and handed Ridgeland-Hardeeville its first defeat with a 35-12 road win Friday night.
Lee Kirkland threw touchdown passes to Tre’von Brown and Rakim White, Memphis Daniels and John Swinton added rushing touchdown, and Willie Brown returned a fumble for a score for the Bobcats.
Kirkland hit Tre’von Brown for a 13-yard touchdown to open the scoring, and Willie Brown scooped up a fumble and went 32 yards for a score to make it 14-0 late in the first quarter.
Daniels scored from 10 yards out and White hauled in a 28-yard TD pass to give the Bobcats a 28-0 halftime lead.
The Jaguars got on the board on Jertaveon Smalls’ touchdown pass to Brandon Howard in the fourth quarter, but John Swinton’s 8-yard touchdown run halted any hope of a rally. Smalls added a touchdown run for the Jags late in the game.
The Bobcats (1-2) travel to Hanahan next Friday, while the Jaguars (2-1) travel to Whale Branch.
