Hilton Head Christian Academy volleyball star Sydney DeSimone scored her 1,000th career kill Monday as the Eagles split a home tri-match.
HHCA lost to Calvary Day 2-0 (25-11, 25-11) and defeated Hilton Head Prep 2-0 (25-8, 25-12).
DeSimone, a senior outside hitter, has picked up where she left off during a second consecutive all-state campaign last season. She has collected 34 kills through the team’s first four matches, including a season-high 12 against Hilton Head Prep, to reach the milestone.
HHCA (2-2) hosts Habersham at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
