Ridgeland-Hardeeville opened its season with a 27-14 home win over Woodland in coach Wilbert Lampkin’s debut as the Jaguars’ head coach Monday.
Jertaveon Smalls and Ronald Zimmermann connected for a pair of long touchdown passes, and Mar’Quese Grant added two rushing touchdowns for the Jags.
Woodland led 14-7 in the second quarter before Ridgeland-Hardeeville’s defense shut out the Wolverines in the second half.
The Jaguars (1-0) travel to Estill on Friday.
