Whale Branch claimed the first of two meetings this season against crosstown rival Battery Creek, beating the visiting Dolphins 31-9 on Friday.
Irvin Mulligan scored a pair of rushing touchdown, and C.J. Brown, De’Arius Hazel, and Jaheem Hazel each added a score for the Warriors.
Whale Branch (1-0) travels to Cross next week, while Battery Creek (0-1) hosts Beaufort High.
