After lopsided outcomes dominated the opening day of the Dixie Softball state tournaments, the competition should heat up Sunday at Oscar J. Frazier Park in Bluffton.
All but one of the 12 games played Saturday were decided by 10 or more runs, including both contests featuring host teams from Bluffton. The Bluffton Angels lost 10-0 to Sumter, while the Bluffton Ponytails fell 25-3 to Kershaw County.
