Hilton Head Island’s Jonathan Griz earned co-medalist honors and claimed one of three berths in the 2018 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship during qualifying Tuesday at the Country Club of South Carolina in Florence.
Griz, Jacob Bridgeman of Inman, and Nick Willis of Cowpens all shot 4-under-par 68 to outdistance the field of 73 players and claim the three spots in the U.S. Junior Amateur to be played at Balustrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., from July 16-21.
