The American Legion Post 9 Beaufort Ospreys scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for a 12-11 home win over Goose Creek Post 166 on Tuesday.
Three straight walks and a Drew Luckey single with two outs in the seventh tied the game at 11, and Goose Creek’s shortstop was unable to handle a ground ball from Brendan Bowersox, allowing the winning run to score.
Wade Olivarri went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Tyler Hofmann was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, and Luckey was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Ospreys. Kamryn Gleason was 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
Ethan Graham earned the win with a scoreless seventh inning, and Bowersox threw two scoreless frames in relief.
The Ospreys (6-4, 4-2 League 1) continue league play at home against Walterboro at 7 p.m. Monday.
