A furious comeback fell short as the Bluffton boys ended their season with a 3-2 loss at Bishop England in the Class 3A Lower State final Tuesday.
The Bobcats trailed 3-0 and were down a man after a player was sent off with a second yellow card, but they still managed to pull back two goals in the final 24 minutes.
Gabe Guadango scored off a corner kick to get the Bobcats on the board, and Evan Ventrice cut the deficit to 3-2 with nine minutes remaining, but Bluffton couldn’t produce the equalizer.
